We are looking for
SPEAKERS for the symposium.
The committee organizing the 2010 Southern Tier Engineering Symposium & Professional Development Seminar is looking for your interest in presenting a course at the seminar. The seminar is sponsored by the following organizations: ASCE, NYSSPE, ASHRAE and IEEE*.
Our main purpose is to schedule courses for the seminar, but we are also interested in our monthly meetings. We ask you to follow the schedule below for submittals.
Your presentation will be used for continuing education for professional engineers with New York Professional Development Hours. The requirements below have been developed over a number of years and have adequately addressed the requirements of the engineers and the governing bodies of the continuing education regulations. The Broome Area Chapter administers the Professional Development Hours through the Practicing Institute of Engineers.
Please review the schedule below and the attached descriptions and let your contact in the sponsoring society know of your commitment.
7/30/2010 Presenter commits to the presentation in Owego and the remaining schedule.
8/13/2010 Submit a biography of the presenter(s) and a 25-word summary of the presentation
9/21/2010 Submit the presentation, quiz questions
10/19/2010 Seminar date
30 copies of the presentation (2-4 slides/page double sided)
1 back-up CD
